Latest method of abrasive blasting.

In many manufacturing processes, abrasive blasting is used to either clean or finish the surface of the material by bombarding it with an abrasive media that is either suspended in a liquid medium or is completely dry. This abrasive media when forced against a workpiece with tremendous energy, then it cleans the surface of any old paintwork, grease, rust for further treatment. Abrasive blasting that uses cut wire abrasive media are used in various industries like steel fabrication units, foundries, or shipyards. It is also used in machine shops, steel mills, gas transmission stations, wineries, rubber manufacturers, painting factories, plastic manufacturers, furniture manufacturers, anodising shops, aircraft manufacturers and many more.

If you read the noise survey report that the government publishes every year, you will find that abrasive blasting is often used to clean steel or iron surfaces. Furthermore, abrasive blasting is also used in cleaning masonry, sandblasting, plastic, wood, glass, brass, copper and other items.

The choice of abrasive that you have to make depends a lot on what kind of surface you want to clean. For example, if it is a hard surface then you can use steel cut wire shots on the other hand it’s a softer surface like would, then you have to use glass beads as abrasive media. The popularity of this process stems from the fact that it is very economical, very fast to perform, and shortens the man-hour required to clean the surface or deburr it.
